Using RegistryBooster
RegistryBooster scans your Windows registry for common errors that can slow down your PC’s performance. Once the errors are identified, the can be quickly fixed. In addition, you can configure scan settings, manage the list of registry items to ignore when scanning, and restore the registry to a previous working state.
By default, the program launches the Registry Scan immediately. Run the scan or click Stop scan to access the other program features.
The Overview Tab
From the Overview tab (see Figure 1), you can:
- Get information about the most recent registry scan, including the date and the errors.
- Scan your PC using the latest configuration (refer to Scanning the Registry for more information)
- Access the LiveUpdate area to determine if software upgrades are available
- Access program help
- View a list of available software programs and whether or not they are installed and activated

The Registry Scan Tab
From the Registry Scan tab, you can:
- Configure the scan and run it
- Manage the list of registry items that are ignored when the system is scanned
- View registry repair logs
- Defragment the registry

The Restore Tab
From the Restore tab (see Figure 3), you can:
- View a list of registry backups that are taken when the registry is modified
- Undo any changes and return the computer to a previous working state

Settings Tab
From the Settings tab (see Figure 4), you can:
- Configure general product settings
- Configure scan settings
- Enter information about your network’s proxy server, if one is used
- View system information
