Optimizing Your System with Registry Ease

Registry Easy provides tools to optimize Windows settings, internet connection settings, and your PC’s memory (see Figure 12).

Using the System Optimizer

To optimize Windows settings:

1. From the main window, click Optimize System and click System Optimizer. The system optimizer window displays (see Figure 13).

2. Select the type of optimization. A description of how the PC will be optimized displays at the bottom of the window.

3. Click Fast Optimize to accept default values for the optimization. If this option is selected, proceed to step X. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

4. Click Next. A customization screen displays (see Figure 14).

5. All versions of optimization display the same options on this screen with the default items for the type of optimization checked. Click the checkboxes to modify these settings, if needed. Hover the mouse over an item to display its description at the bottom of the window.

6. Click Next. Vision, performance, network, multi-media and other optimization options display (see Figure 15).

7. All versions of optimization display the same options on this screen with the default items for the type of optimization checked. Click the checkboxes to modify these settings, if needed. Hover the mouse hover over an item to display its description on the right side of the window.

8. Click Optimize. A dialog box confirms optimization is complete.

9. Click Reset to return the PC to the previous settings, if needed.

Optimizing Internet Connection Settings

To optimize internet connection settings:

1. From the main window, click Optimize System and click Optimize Internet. The internet connection optimizer window displays (see Figure 16).

2. Select the connection type from the drop-down list.

3. Click Scan Now. The status of the scan displays. Results and suggested areas for improvement display after the scan is complete (see Figure 17).

4. Click Optimize. The status of the optimization displays. A message indicating successful completion displays when the optimization is complete.

5. Click Finish.

Optimizing System Memory

To optimize system memory:

1. From the main window, click Optimize System and click Tweak Memory. The current memory and CPU usage display (see Figure 18).

2. Click Optimize. The optimization status displays at the bottom of the screen. A dialog box confirms optimization is complete.
