Tuneup Your Services with Registry Mechanic
Use the Services Optimizer to manage how programs are prioritized as they run in the background.
1. Click Optimize or use the arrows to access the Optimize options.
2. Click Tuneup Your Services. The screen displays three options for tuning your services (see Figure 4).
- Recommended – optimize services so performance and functionality are balanced.
- Minimal – optimize for raw performance and faster boot time.
- Restore – restore the computer the last known good state.

Recommended
To use the recommended settings:
1. Click Recommended. The recommended prioritization and status of the services displays (see Figure 5).

2. To prevent a service from being changed, click the checkbox to deselect it.
3. Click Apply. The status of the updates displays.
4. Click Stop at any time to stop the tuneup.
5. Click Back to return to the services window.
Minimal
To use the minimal settings:
1. Click Minimal. The recommended prioritization and status of the services displays (see Figure 6).

2. To prevent a service from being changed, click the checkbox to deselect it.

4. Click Stop at any time to stop the tuneup.
5. Click Back to return to the services window.
Restore
To perform a restore to a previous working state:
1. Click Restore. The window displays the priority of the service and how it will be configured after the restore completes (see Figure 7).

2. Click Restore. The status of the updates displays.
3. Click Stop at any time to stop the restore.
4. Click Back to return to the services window.
