The Registry Mechanic Monitor Function

The Monitor menu provides access to performance monitoring tools (see Figure 18).

Monitor Your Registry

To monitor changes to the registry:

1. Click Monitor or use the arrows to access the Monitor options (see Figure 18).

2. Click Monitor Your Registry. The Registry Mechanic window minimizes and the program monitors the registry for changes. The Settings options determine when the user is notified of errors.

Event Viewer

Use the Event Viewer to access system logs and events.

Note: This is a Windows program that is accessed by Registry Mechanic. Consult your Windows documentation for how to use this feature.

1. Click Monitor or use the arrows to access the Monitor options.

2. Click Event Viewer. The Windows Event Viewer displays (see Figure 19).

3. Click the X in the upper right corner of the window to close it.
