Manage Your Services

View the performance of programs that are loaded when Windows starts. Use the information to assess system impact.

1. Click Monitor or use the arrows to access the Monitor options.

2. Click Manage Your Services. The Manage Your Services window displays (see

Figure 20).

3. Click a program to view its description in the lower portion of the screen.

4. Use the controls on the lower right to manage the service:

• Right arrow starts the service
• Square stops the service
• Bars pause the service

Performance Monitor

Use the Performance Monitor to view system performance, including memory, network, disk and processor.

Note: This is a Windows program that is accessed by Registry Mechanic. Consult your Windows documentation for how to use this feature.

1. Click Monitor or use the arrows to access the Monitor options.

2. Click Performance Monitor. The Windows Performance Monitor displays (see

Figure 21).

3. Click the X in the upper right corner of the window to close it.
